2003 - Founded

Atlantis Foods, previously known as Supapackers, can be traced from humble beginnings back in 2003, when the Figueiredo brothers, Luis and Sergio, started to trade and service the South African seafood market.

From a work force of only 5 employees, the entrepreneurial spirit shown by the founders can proudly be looked upon today and quantified with reference to the extended group's 700 plus work force.

2006 – Factory Constructed

In 2006 a strategic decision was taken to construct a seafood processing factory in Atlantis to increase the value proposition to both local and export market clients.

One of the groups proudest achievements has been the impact of the processing factory on the community of Atlantis. The contribution of Atlantis Foods to the economic development and upliftment of the local economy, can be measured by the loyalty and commitment of the work force.

This has ensured that the business has retained core skills and intellectual property that provides the group with a strategic processing advantage, translating into a high quality finished product that we’re proud to provide to the market.
